Åland United's Captains for 2025: Sara Nordin, Senja Salo and Monica Hagström

Ahead of the 2025 season, Åland United has appointed a captain's group consisting of Sara Nordin, Senja Salo, and Monica "Monni" Hagström. The three captains will share the responsibility and lead the team together – both on and off the pitch.

Head coach Daniel Norrmén explains the process behind the decision:

“We have now selected our captains for 2025, and we did so by involving both the players and the coaching staff in the process. What was particularly positive was that there was a strong consensus around the chosen candidates, which means the decision is well anchored in both the locker room and the staff.”

The players themselves highlight the strong team spirit and what it means to represent Åland:

“We believe we can speak for the whole team when we say that representing Åland United is something special – because it also means representing the island. We're looking forward to the season and are ready to give everything we’ve got for the team.”

With three strong leaders at the helm, Åland United enters the 2025 season with pride and unity.
