Before the match against PK35 Vantaa

In the last match we finally got the first points. The match as a whole was split. In the first half, we were a little too passive in the blocks. Up front, we were a bit in the same place and didn't have enough patience with the ball. In the second half we clarified our positions and were more active in both directions. A big focus for the match was to "tighten up" the defensive game and defend the area in the middle behind our defensive line. We managed that relatively well and 3 scored goals against a tough opponent shows a really good performance by the team.

PK-35 Vantaa will be a different opposition than HPS, which tries to push high. PK-35 Vantaa have in recent matches defended themselves more in formations and tried to control the game where they want and then get the pressure going. In the offensive, PK 35 Vanta tries to control the ball in its own area and find advantages there. In the first matches, PK 35 Vanta have used straight plays that we have to be ready for.

There may also be changes in the lineup compared to previous matches as players have returned home from the USA, but it is open whether they will be there on Saturday.

PK 35 Vantaa comes to the match with three tied 0-0.

Our preparation has been to develop our own game and improve our offense. We are relatively spared from injuries in the squad. But we have had some illnesses that have affected training for several weeks and so also this week. Several players have been absent from training since Monday.

The match will certainly be very "tight". What will decide the match is how we can get rhythm, versatility, be effective in our goal chances, and how we can defend ourselves actively.

Welcome to support us on our home field, Heja Åland!

The match will be played at WHA on May 4 at 18:30
