Åland United strengthens its coaching staff for the 2025 season with a familiar face: Anna Westerlund is joining as an additional resource and will support the team alongside head coach Daniel Norrmén. The long-time Finnish national team record holder brings not only immense experience but also a winning mentality that will benefit Åland United in the upcoming season.
Anna wore Åland United’s jersey for four years between 2019 and 2022, played 84 league matches, and scored 14 goals. As a leader on the field, she was a key player for the club – now she will share her experience in a new role.
Head coach Daniel Norrmén is pleased to have Anna on board:

A valuable addition to the team
With her professional attitude, tactical knowledge, and leadership skills, Westerlund will be a valuable addition to the coaching staff. In her role as an additional resource, she will support the coaching team and contribute to the development of the squad. Together with Daniel Norrmén, Pille Raadik and Ville-Petteri Laiho, she will work to help Åland United achieve success in the 2025 season.
